Assalaamualaikum wa Rahmathullahi Wa Barakath.

Greetings of Peace to you all.

As we face the coming year 2025, we are set to commemorate and celebrate the Centennial of our Association, THE MWA, in the field of Community Development and Service ….and the Diamond Jubilee of 75 glorious years of MWA School in the field of Education.

The Creator has always blessed our MWA School with His Mercy. Each of us here, are touched with this Barakah, (a deep and peaceful blessing), in the work, time and energy we give, in the cause of education as Honorary Members.

The legacy of true Leadership is based on meritocracy. With this belief, The MWA has worked ceaselessly from the time of our founders Begum Mazherudin, Begum Nazir Hussain Saheba, Begum Zinda Saheb Mohajer and Dr. Mrs. Rahmathunissa Begum, to maintain the standards of service to community development, social justice, and equal opportunity.

In my predecessors Mrs. Bilquis Chida and Mrs.Zubaida Asgar Ali Dhala, I had great teachers and mentors who gave me their complete trust and allowed me the support and encouragement I needed, to water this beautiful plant, make the right decisions, and execute plans to watch it grow into the great strong tree it is today. Alhamdulillah.

The MWA is a labor of love, and I am ever so grateful to Allah Subhana wa Tala, for having given me the privilege and honor to serve here, in the cause of Education.

At The MWA, we aim to impart quality education, imbibe the values of honesty and truth, and work on holistic development of the child, enabling each child to shine in the strengths they each have been granted.

Our Principal, Heads, Teachers, and Staff are all part of this team, which is governed by our capable and energetic Honorary Secretary, Treasurers along with an experienced and dedicated Executive Committee. As your President, I strive to do my best and stay true to the ideals of MWA. Alhamdulillah.

This year we will begin The MWA Centennial Celebrations, Insha Allah, by opening our doors to the physically challenged children who can use the newly constructed elevator and ramps for their ease of movement. MWA believes in respect and dignity for all citizens.

We will once more dedicate ourselves to carving out the excellence in our students and building upon their strengths. Multiple intelligences and multiple strengths only promise happy faces and wholesome childhoods.

Our Special Education Department will continue with assessments, remedials and eventually aim to normal mainstream children.
Our NIOS is set to reach new horizons.
The Language and Arts Clubs and the Eco Club are our pride and joy.
AND our Sports Teams are rearing to go …

The first Quranic revelation says,

❝Read! In the name of your Lord Who has created (all that exists). He has created man from a clot. Read! And your Lord is the Most Generous. Who has taught (the writing) by the pen. He has taught man that which he knew not❞. (Chapter 96 ayath:1-5)

These verses address the whole of humankind to seek knowledge and delve into critical thinking.

❝Seeking knowledge is mandatory for every Muslim.❞

The MWA focuses on these aspects – Reading and seeking knowledge.

At The MWA, we believe in the all-round development of the child. We give equal importance to co-curricular and extracurricular activities.

We aim not just to impart knowledge to the students but also to support them in developing the skills that will allow them to be responsible and contributing members of the community. With the guidance and support of the Management and the cooperation of dedicated teachers, we leave no stone unturned to bring out the latent potential in the students. The Assembly speeches by students, skits performed in the Assembly, Comprehensive Revision Programme (CRP) before the Exams, Toppers Enhancement Programme (TEP) & Students Training Programme (STP) for Std X and XII & various club activities organized in the school stand testimony to this.

Value education is a part of the curriculum. Education which does not mould character is worthless. We build individuals with strong character here.

Change is the only constant in life. When we embrace change, we will begin to see it as an opportunity for growth. Our Curriculum and teaching methodologies are reviewed and updated so that our students’ future needs are met. TATA Class Edge was introduced this year by the Management to introduce technology in classrooms.

In an age of technology explosion, it has become mandatory for teachers to be fully equipped with the latest trends in every field so that they have answers for all the questions posed by the students. Thus, Teacher – training is an on- going process at MWA.

Sports does not take a back seat at MWA. Our U 19 Football team won at the District level and represented Chennai at the State Football Tournament held in Coimbatore.

We are sure to achieve our aim of scaling new heights of success every year in collaboration with our young learners, dedicated teachers, supporting parents, and encouraging mentors.

I would like to conclude by quoting Gandhiji’s words.

At the outset of the new academic year 2025, as Principal heading the School, I am honoured to share how at The MWA, we are dedicated to instilling empathy, integrity, and a sense of community in our students.

At our institution, we strive for academic excellence while focusing on the holistic development of our students. The values learned inside and outside the classroom are just as important as academic achievements.

Every morning, the life of MWA students begins with active listening to topics on moral values. These are presented in the form of short plays and speeches by their seniors or peers during the assembly. The Principal enlightens the assembly with her resounding words.

The following are some of the core values we emphasize:

Empathy: Empathy is the cornerstone of strong human relationships. By teaching our students to understand and share the feelings of others, we cultivate a community of caring individuals. Through interactive activities, community service projects such as gardening, educational trips, and classroom discussions, students learn to put themselves in others' shoes, fostering a culture of kindness and respect.

Integrity: Integrity means being honest and having strong moral ethics. We motivate our students to practice integrity both inside and outside the classroom. This includes being honest, taking responsibility for their actions, and standing up for what is right. Our curriculum and extracurricular programs, such as value education meetings, career guidance programs, and Eco Club meetings, are designed to reinforce these values, helping students build a strong ethical foundation.

Respect: Respect for others, regardless of their background, beliefs, or abilities, is a prime value we uphold. Our school encourages a diverse and inclusive environment where every student feels valued and respected. Through various cultural programs at the School's Annual Day, we teach our students to appreciate and celebrate diversity.

Teamwork and Collaboration: Teamwork and collaboration are valuable skills in today’s world. We promote collaborative learning through group projects, peer tutoring, and team-based activities at the Science Expo, Carnival, and Sports Events. These experiences teach students the importance of working together, listening to different perspectives, and achieving common goals.

By incorporating these values into our daily routines and educational practices, we aim to develop well-rounded individuals who are not only knowledgeable but also compassionate and principled.

Our students are encouraged to apply these values in their lives, making meaningful contributions to society and becoming the leaders of tomorrow. At MWA, we are committed to providing an environment that supports both academic and personal excellence.

We offer personalized, high-quality coaching that adapts to each student’s learning style. Our academic program is enriched with regular seminars, Student Training Program (STP) and Student Enhancement Program (SEP) coaching, and every day special classes for students needing extra support. A structured assessment schedule ensures consistent academic monitoring. At the same time, Vision and Victory Series, a comprehensive Enrichment program conducted by our School Principal every month prepares students for an all-round development on their path towards success.

With great delight and humility, I extend my warm welcome to you all. For years now, MWA has striven for the betterment of students in all aspects and I feel honoured to serve as a Vice Principal in this esteemed establishment.

As the saying goes, a successful society is one wherein education is given much importance, and sure enough, MWA has committed itself to nourishing young souls in order to shape them into better individuals; better members of the society. Our team not only aims to make education more engaging and effective but also enjoyable for students. As a result, we are continuously aiming at improvising our teaching methods and materials. By integrating technology with pedagogy, we're shaping the future of education and empowering students for future success.

At MWA, we don't just focus on academics but make it a point to give equal importance to the discipline inculcated in students as well, so they could develop a strong character laden with all good values. We try to maintain a constant check on all our students and address any behavioural issues promptly.

We also ensure to groom every aspect of the student's personality by encouraging them to take part in various events like debates, elocution, dramatics and other extra curricular activities. It is never a dull day at our premises.

As an institution that places strong emphasis on girls' education and empowerment, we go by the Quran and Sunnah to provide a safe and secure environment where our students seek knowledge, develop a strong sense of purpose and embody the teachings of Islam in daily life.

Being the Junior Vice Principal of M.W.A Matriculation Higher Secondary School, I take the privilege to serve the school in a role that blends Leadership, Mentorship, and Academic Stewardship. With a firm belief in the Power of Education, I am dedicated to creating a Nurturing and Disciplined Learning Environment where young minds are encouraged to grow with confidence, curiosity, and character. My responsibilities encompass overseeing the Daily Academic and Administrative Operations of the Junior School, guiding teachers, supporting students, and working in close Coordination with the Principal and School Management. I am committed to upholding the values and ethos of M.W.A., ensuring that every child receives a balanced and Value-Based Education. By leading with Empathy and Purpose, I strive to build strong relationships with staff, parents, and students alike. My focus remains on enhancing teaching quality, maintaining discipline, organising co-curricular Activities, and contributing to the Holistic Development of every child under my care.

NIOS Department
Our NIOS program is a valuable platform for students to explore alternative education pathways and gain practical skills. The curriculum includes engaging academic subjects and vocational courses such as:
• Bakery & Confectionery – equipping students with entrepreneurial skills.
• Preservation of Fruits & Vegetables – promoting self-reliance through hands-on learning.
With experienced faculty and a student-centered approach, the NIOS department fosters:

Remedial Department
Our Remedial Department offers part-time academic support for students from Classes 2 to 5, focusing on phonics, reading, writing, comprehension, and math.
Students are identified through teacher referrals, classroom observations, and assessments. With parental consent, they are enrolled in a personalized program led by qualified special educators.
The department ensures:
