Introducing an alternative, flexible access to curriculum through NIOS

MWA has always focussed on providing a strong platform for children with multiple intelligences. Continuing on this path to success the school has added yet another laurel to its credit by providing children with an opportunity to learn through NIOS, an open school curriculum stream. Similar to our school's motto to learn and serve,NIOS focuses on providing universalized education to achieve greater equity and opportunities in the society.

NIOS offers students an alternate curriculum in achieving their academic goals in a phased out manner. It is an "Open Basic Education" (OBE) Programme for 14+ years age group, adolescents and adults at A, B and C levels that are equivalent to classes III, V and VIII of the formal school system. Students who take up courses through NIOS have options to choose other subjects that are not offered in the regular Matriculation system. Subjects offered by NIOS in our school include Economics, Business Studies, Home Science, Data Entry Operations, English, Mass Communication and Painting. All these subjects offered by the NIOS stream offer students more options to choose from according to their strengths.
